Project Breakdown

Plateau Consultants Limited served as project manager for the upgrading of Kithumuoni Primary School in Kitui County, on behalf of the Mpesa Foundation, which funded the initiative with a Kshs 40,000,000 grant.

Our role covered the full project lifecycle — conducting the site needs assessment, developing architectural designs and bills of quantities, preparing tender documents, evaluating and recommending contractors, and supervising construction through to completion.

The project scope included the construction and equipping of 8 classrooms, an administration block, a computer laboratory, and a library, along with new pit latrines, solar power installation, and a borehole with a steel water tower to solve the school's water scarcity.

Delivered at a total cost of Kshs 39,999,965, the upgrade equips roughly 200 pupils and 9 teachers with the infrastructure needed for a safer, more effective learning environment.
