Faraja Cancer Centre at Coast General Teaching & Referral Hospital, Mombasa

Project Description

The Faraja Cancer Centre at Coast General Teaching & Referral Hospital, Mombasa, is a proposed two-storey cancer support facility aimed at strengthening comprehensive cancer care across the Coastal region. Funded by a Ksh 63.2 million M-Pesa Foundation grant, the center will complement existing oncology treatment services with dedicated patient and caregiver support. With the project ongoing, it will create a welcoming, patient-center environment featuring counselling rooms, family and group therapy spaces, open patient lounges, a children’s waiting/play area, prayer room, support staff offices and dedicated hospital offices.

The scope covers the design, construction and equipping of the center, including building works, finishes, furniture, external works, electrical and mechanical installations, landscaping, drainage and medical equipment. The e project budget is Ksh 63,197,700, with Plateau Consultants providing project management support
