Project Breakdown

The Chasimba Health Centre Renovation and Equipping Project is an M-Pesa Foundation initiative aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to quality healthcare services in Kilifi County. Located in Chasimba Ward, the Level 3 health facility serves the surrounding community through essential outpatient, maternity, laboratory, maternal and child health services, among others. The project responds to identified infrastructure constraints within the facility and seeks to create a more functional, safe and efficient healthcare environment.

The project comprises the renovation and equipping of the Outpatient Block, Medical Laboratory, Maternity Block, Waiting Bay and existing toilets. The works include refurbishment of damaged finishes, painting and tiling, improvements to doors and windows, rainwater harvesting, external paving and associated facility upgrades, together with the provision of equipment. Plateau Consultants serves as Project Manager, providing design and tender support, project coordination, supervision and quality assurance throughout implementation. With a total project allocation of KES 10.98 million, the initiative is intended to address key facility gaps and strengthen the health center’s capacity to provide quality and efficient healthcare services to the community.
